SE has added a software update to the W810i page, namely UpdateService_inst_2.6.4.9.exe.

Is it worth using it (meaning downloading 30 MB)? What does it fix?

They maybe have firmware R4CK003 up on the site to download. I thought that was the most up to date version of firmware at the moment, unless a new firmware has been released.

To my knowledge this is the first version to appear on the SE website for the 810i so hopefully this means good things.
FYI: You need to look at the version numbers. The file "UpdateService_inst_2.6.4.9.exe" is actually version 2.2.13.7d where-as the current version for the W800i SEUS (after it auto-updated itself) is 2.6.5.5!

[EDIT]
Have just downloaded, installed and run the this SEUS and sure enough, it auto-updated to 2.6.5.5 so I'm guessing nothing is different to that I already had. As soon as a battery has fully charged, I'll run through it and let you know results.

Watch this space!

[EDIT]
Nope! No update available. Latest software installed etc.

[EDIT]
The icon is different and it is now called "Update Service - Phones"!

Zeb, delete this if you feel it's un-necessary. I've just tried with an unbranded one and there's no update for that either.

I've not deleted any of your previous posts so won't start with this one. Please, do carry on. ;-)
